You are only permitted to have one application form at any one time and therefore the National Insurance Number (NINO) is a way of preventing duplicate applications, as this number is unique to everyone.

If you have made previous applications and are now seeking rehousing due to changes in your circumstances e.g. relationship breakdown, moving out of the parental home, you may need to request your NINO to be removed from your previous application.  You will therefore need to make a request to Home Point by printing off the Request to remove your national insurance number form, complete, sign and date the form and return it to Home Point at info@home-point.info before you can proceed to reapply fo rehousing.

Home Point will then check the information, and remove the NINO if approved.

This is usually completed within 48 hours from the time the request has been received.
